Role Description This is a full-time, in office role based in Mumbai for a CAD Mould Designer and CNC Programmer. The role involves designing injection moulds using CAD software, interpreting technical and construction drawings, and preparing detailed 3D models and 2D layouts for mould manufacturing. The professional will program CNC machines for mould components, optimize machining parameters, and coordinate with the production team to ensure precision, consistency, and efficient cycle times.





Daily responsibilities include reviewing customer product requirements, collaborating with engineering and shop-floor teams, performing design modifications, and supporting mould trials and troubleshooting. The role also includes maintaining documentation, adhering to quality and safety standards, and contributing to continuous improvement in tooling and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

- Ability to interpret and create Technical Drawing and Drawing for mould components and assemblies.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for 2D and 3D mould design and model detailing.
- Experience with Construction Drawings related to tooling, machining, and assembly layouts.
- Background in Design Engineering, particularly in plastic injection moulds and precision tooling.
- Hands-on experience in CNC programming (e.g., for milling and EDM), tooling selection, and machining optimization.
- Knowledge of injection moulding processes, materials, tolerances, and manufacturing best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Engineering, or a similar field; prior experience in mould design/manufacturing is highly beneficial.
