To manage the procurement of direct and indirect materials required for automotive manufacturing ensuring cost competitiveness, quality compliance, timely delivery, and supplier performance.
Procurement & Sourcing
- Source automotive components, raw materials, consumables, and services from approved suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, conduct commercial evaluations, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely order placement.
- Support current supplier identification and qualification activities.
Supplier Management
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply.
- Monitor supplier performance on cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
- Participate in supplier audits and performance reviews.
- Resolve supply chain issues, shortages, and delivery delays.
Cost Management
- Drive annual cost reduction initiatives and productivity projects.
- Conduct market analysis and benchmark pricing.
- Support value engineering and localization initiatives.
Inventory & Planning Support
- Coordinate with production planning,
- Monitor inventory levels and avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
- Support inventory optimization
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance teams.
- Support new product launch activities by ensuring timely material availability.
- Participate in change management and engineering change implementation.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts, and supplier documentation.
- Support compliance with automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
