Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Packing Material Sourcing Specialist to lead our efforts in sourcing high quality, cost-effective packing materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, supply chain management, and vendor relations, with a focus on optimizing material sourcing to support production and distribution processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Procurement:

- - Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of packing materials based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best deals
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply and resolve any issues that arise.
- Need to conduct E-auctions.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and alternatives that can offer cost savings or improved performance
- Stay informed about market trends, new products, and emerging technologies in packing materials.
- Prepare regular reports on sourcing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance for management review.
- Costing as per specification of all types of Packaging Materials.

Packaging Development:

- - Package design and development for different types of products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, Quality /manufacturing and Legal, to ensure packaging solutions meet product requirements and market needs.



Ensure packaging designs comply with industry regulations and standards, including safety, environmental, and labelling requirements.
- Ensuring value addition & continuous improvement of the existing package & printing jobs
- Machine Trial, Transit Trial along with Operation / QA for finalization of Primary & Secondary packaging materials – at the Factory level
- Approval of Artwork by Marketing / Agency / Legal / QA.

Vendor Development:

- Working with Existing Vendors and suggesting new vendors for on boarding based on requirements.
- Vendor Evaluation based on vendor audit result & vendor Development for all the existing and new products at the optimum cost and for better quality for premium products.
- Strengthening of existing vendor sources by Vendor training and developing.

1. Plastic Containers:

Types: Polypropylene (PP), Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)

2. Mono Cartons & CFB (Outer cartons)

Types: Gable-top cartons, Tetra Packs, and aseptic cartons and Secondary Outer Kraft cartons /Kraft Bags.

3. Plastic Films/liners:

Types: Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE), linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), Multilayer barrier films.

4. Laminates & Adaptable Packaging:

Types: Multi-layer 3 or 5 Ply laminates, aluminium and paper. Pouches and sachets made from various plastic films.

5. Metal Cans -Ghee Tins.

6. Aluminium Foil: Aluminium foil lids.
