A seasoned Business Analyst with deep domain expertise in Life Insurance who can operate as a strategic consultant, engaging with business stakeholders and clients to drive conversations, shape requirements, and deliver impactful solutions.

In this role, the ideal candidate would bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, working closely with clients, product teams, and technical stakeholders. Will be responsible for leading workshops, understanding customer pain points, and guiding solution approaches with a strong understanding of industry practices, regulatory requirements, and operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as an advisor to clients in the Life and P&C; insurance space and not just as a business analyst
- Conduct in-depth domain analysis to understand client business models, product portfolios, and market challenges.
- Lead workshops and discovery sessions with customers to gather business requirements, identify pain points, and recommend process improvements.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and work closely with solution architects, designers, and developers to deliver business value.
- Drive conversations around core insurance processes like policy administration, claims, underwriting, billing, reinsurance, and customer servicing.
- Collaborate with product managers and delivery teams to shape and prioritize features.
- Assist in business case preparation, solution roadmaps,



and process optimization initiatives.
- Support pre-sales teams in RFP responses, client presentations, and demonstrations with domain insight.
- Analyze industry trends, regulatory updates, and competitor benchmarks to bring insights into customer conversations.
- Facilitate UAT and support change management efforts during implementations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- At least 4+ years as Business consultant advising the customers on key initiatives
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Life and/or P&C; insurance domain.
- Demonstrated experience interacting directly with clients in a consulting, pre-sales, or strategic advisory capacity.
- Strong understanding of insurance business processes: Recent Business, Policy Servicing, Claims, Underwriting, Reinsurance, Billing, and Regulatory Compliance.
- Familiarity with digital insurance trends – self-service portals, omnichannel engagement, analytics, and automation.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills in managing the customer – ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in creating BRDs, FRDs, process flows, user stories, and wireframes.
- Agile delivery experience (Scrum or SAFe preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or related field
- Relevant industry certifications such as LOMA, INS21, or equivalent are highly preferred.
