Branch Manager

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed branch revenue, profitability, and P&L; targets.
2. Lead, mentor, and motivate a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional customer service and meet individual performance goals.
3. Establish and nurture strong relationships with retail and corporate clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
4. Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring adherence to audit standards, regulatory requirements, and internal compliance policies.
5. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and implement growth initiatives.
6. Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive product penetration and enhance overall branch performance.
7. Prepare and present periodic performance reports, forecasting branch financials, and recommending corrective actions as needed.

Implement robust risk management practices to safeguard the bank’s assets and reputation.
9. Ensure efficient resource allocation and cost control to optimize operational effectiveness.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
2. 7–12 years of progressive experience in banking or financial services, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
3. Proven expertise in sales management, customer acquisition, and revenue generation within a branch environment.
4. Robust knowledge of retail banking products, services, and regulatory frameworks.
5. Demonstrated experience in P&L; management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
6. Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building skills with the ability to inspire high performance.
7. Comprehensive understanding of audit procedures, compliance standards, and risk management practices.
8. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.

Nice to Have:

1. MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Finance or Business.
2. Certifications such as NISM, IRDA, CFA, CFS, or relevant banking credentials.
3. Experience implementing digital banking solutions and driving digital adoption.
4. Proficiency in data analytics tools to enhance decision-making and performance tracking.
5. Established network within the local business community for accelerated client acquisition.
