Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced BI Architect to design and lead enterprise-scale Business Intelligence and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, Tableau, and other BI platforms, along with deep knowledge of data modeling, semantic layers, enterprise reporting architecture, performance optimization, and cloud data platforms.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data architects, data engineers, and analytics teams to translate business requirements into scalable, governed, and high-performance BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities1. BI Architecture &

- Solution Design

- Define and implement enterprise BI architecture, reporting standards, and analytics strategies.
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance BI solutions using Power BI, Tableau, and other relevant BI tools.
- Establish architecture patterns for enterprise reporting, self-service analytics, dashboards, and executive reporting.
- Evaluate BI platforms and recommend appropriate tools based on business requirements, scalability, cost, and usability.
- Develop reusable frameworks, standards, and best practices for BI development and deployment.
- Power BI, Tableau &
- BI Tools
- Provide technical architecture and implementation leadership across Power BI and Tableau.
- Design and optimize interactive dashboards, reports, and analytical applications.
- Develop and govern semantic models, datasets, business measures, KPIs, and reusable calculations.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of Power BI DAX, Power Query, data models, workspaces, gateways, and deployment pipelines.
- Demonstrate expertise in Tableau data modeling, calculations, dashboards, extracts, performance optimization, and publishing.
- Evaluate and work with other BI platforms such as Qlik Sense, Looker, MicroStrategy, SAP BusinessObjects, or similar tools.
- Establish best practices for report usability, visualization standards, accessibility,



and consistent business metric definitions.
- Data Modeling &
- Semantic Layer
- Design dimensional models, star and snowflake schemas, and analytical data models.
- Define enterprise semantic layers and reusable business logic across reports and dashboards.
- Establish consistent KPI definitions, calculation logic, and governed datasets across business functions.
- Work with data engineering teams to design curated data layers optimized for analytics consumption.
- Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and traceability across BI solutions.
- Data Platforms &
- Integration
- Integrate BI solutions with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, and other modern data platforms.
- Design effective connectivity patterns, including import, live connection, DirectQuery, and equivalent approaches where applicable.
- Optimize large-scale analytical workloads, data refresh processes, and query execution.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams on ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformations, and data readiness.
- Understand modern data warehouse, lakehouse, and cloud analytics architectures.
- Performance, Security &
- Governance
- Optimize dashboard performance, semantic models, query execution, refresh schedules, and resource utilization.
- Implement role-level and row-level security, access controls, and appropriate data protection measures.
- Establish BI governance, workspace management, metadata standards, lineage, and access policies.
- Define testing, deployment, version control, monitoring, and release management practices.
- Ensure BI solutions follow enterprise security, compliance, and data governance standards.
- Technical Leadership &
- Stakeholder Management
- Lead BI architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and solution demonstrations.
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
- Guide and mentor BI developers, analytics engineers, and technical teams.




- Review technical designs and ensure adherence to architectural standards and development best practices.
- Support presales activities, solution proposals, effort estimation, and client presentations where required.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI/GenAI for natural-language analytics, automated insights, and intelligent reporting.

Required Skills &

- Experience

- 10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, analytics, data warehousing, and BI solution development.
- Strong expertise in Power BI and Tableau, including architecture, data modeling, dashboard design, and performance optimization.
- Experience with additional BI tools such as Qlik Sense, Looker, MicroStrategy, SAP BusinessObjects, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong understanding of DAX, Power Query, Tableau calculations, and BI-specific optimization techniques.
- Expertise in SQL, dimensional modeling, semantic layers, star schemas, and analytical data structures.
- Experience integrating BI tools with Snowflake, Databricks, and cloud-based data warehouses.
- Strong understanding of data security, governance, access controls, and enterprise BI administration.
- Experience with BI deployment processes, CI/CD, version control, testing, and release management.
- Ability to define architecture standards and provide technical direction to development teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, or equivalent cloud analytics platforms.
- Exposure to dbt, data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage tools.
- Experience with enterprise-scale BI migrations, platform modernization, and reporting consolidation.
- Knowledge of AI-enabled analytics, conversational BI, natural-language querying, and GenAI integration.
- Relevant Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, cloud, or analytics certifications.
