ASM Auto Group develops safety-compliant automotive MCUs for EV, HEV, traction inverters, onboard chargers, BMS, and body and chassis control. We are at a pivotal moment in automotive technology, and this role offers a chance to work on cutting-edge MCUs with real-world impact. If you want to solve complex technical challenges in rapid-growing segments, we encourage you to apply.
Position Overview:
We are seeking engineers with 2-5 years of experience to independently own functional validation of MCU peripherals and subsystems, spanning pre-silicon (RTL simulation, QuickTurn/Palladium/ZeBu emulation, FPGA prototyping) and post-silicon (functional bring-up and validation on silicon).
You will work closely with Architecture, Design, and Firmware teams to ensure robust, competitive automotive devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own functional validation of Automotive peripherals and communication interfaces
- Develop requirements-based test plans, directed tests, and negative/corner-case scenarios
- Develop firmware test suites and automation in Python and C
- Debug hardware/software interactions across firmware, RTL waveforms, emulation, and silicon
- Execute first-silicon functional bring-up and peripheral functional tests
- Maintain regressions, track coverage, and close functional gaps
- Execute performance and benchmarking tests on assigned peripherals and subsystems
- Reproduce customer-reported issues and perform root-cause analysis
- Verify fixes for customer-reported issues
- Produce test plans, validation reports, and defect root-cause analyses
- Coordinate with RTL designers and architecture teams on design issues
