Role Description The Assistant Professor of Computer Science will be a full-time, in office faculty member based in Hyderabad. This role involves designing and delivering undergraduate and/or postgraduate computer science courses, developing and updating curricula to align with industry standards and emerging technologies, and mentoring learners in academic and project work. The position includes conducting research in relevant areas of computer science, collaborating on applied projects that support CTPL’s EdTech initiatives, and contributing to academic publications.

Professor will participate in academic committees, support assessment and accreditation processes,



and engage with industry partners to keep course content aligned with evolving market needs.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in core Computer Science concepts, including algorithms, data structures, operating systems, and software engineering.
- Experience in Curriculum Development, instructional design, and creating industry-relevant course materials and assessments.
- Expertise in one or more areas such as Data Science, including data analytics, machine learning, or related applied research.
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity principles, practices, and tools, with the ability to integrate security topics into teaching and projects.
- Proficiency in Programming languages (such as Python, Java, C/C++, or similar) and practical experience with software development practices.
- Relevant advanced degree (preferably a Ph.D. or at least a master’s in Computer Science or a closely related field) from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated teaching experience or strong teaching potential, including the ability to use technology-enhanced and blended learning methods.
- Evidence of research activity, publications, or industry projects in computer science or related domains; experience with EdTech or higher education technology is an advantage.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary academic and startup environment.
