The Transport Planner for Port will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic and operational efficiency of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ).
This role is responsible for providing transport planning expertise to develop and refine the Master Plan for port operations, ensuring seamless traffic flow, optimal road network design, and efficient cargo dispersal.
The position aligns with APSEZ’s vision of operational excellence and its commitment to building world-class port infrastructure.
The role will directly contribute to enhancing cargo handling capacity, reducing bottlenecks, and supporting the business unit’s integrated port infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities of Role
- Provide transport planning inputs for the preparation and finalization of the Port Master Plan, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic goals.
- Review and refine traffic and transportation proposals to ensure the economical and efficient dispersal of port cargo with minimal bottlenecks.
- Design and plan road networks within the port area, focusing on operational efficiency, safety, and alignment with the latest engineering standards.
- Conduct detailed geometric alignment studies for port roads, incorporating actual width requirements for buildings, roads, yards, and utilities.
- Assist in the preparation of drawings and technical documentation for the implementation of planning projects and proposals.
- Optimize existing road networks and propose enhancements to support increased cargo handling capacity and seamless connectivity to national highways.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the integration of planned proposals into the updated Master Plan.
- Prepare Pre-Feasibility Reports (PFR) and Detailed Project Reports (DPR) for new road and infrastructure projects within the port area.
- Implement modern engineering processes and technologies to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of port road networks.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in Planning with a specialization in Transport Planning, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.
Arch.
).
- 5–9 years of relevant experience in port road network planning, geometric design, and logistics.
- Proven expertise in overseeing port development projects, including road and infrastructure planning.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on operational efficiency and safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with diverse stakeholders.
