Job Title: AI Team Lead

The AI Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the research, design, development, and deployment of artificial intelligence solutions within the organization. The role requires leading a team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and software developers to implement cutting-edge AI technologies that enhance governance and public service delivery. The AI Team Lead will collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI applications, develop project plans, and ensure successful execution of initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of AI professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Develop AI strategies that align with organizational goals and improve program effectiveness.
- Oversee the design and implementation of machine learning models and algorithms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and identify AI-driven solutions.
- Conduct research on emerging AI technologies and assess their potential applications.
- Ensure high-quality standards in AI development and deployment processes, including data preparation, model training, and validation.
- Monitor industry trends and advancements in AI and machine learning, and integrate best practices into projects.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, facilitating their professional growth.
- Prepare and present reports on project progress, outcomes, and evaluations to stakeholders.

Skills and Tools Required

- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, data analysis techniques, and AI frameworks.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
- Experience with AI tools and platforms like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch,



or similar.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present findings effectively.
- Solid understanding of database management and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience in managing projects using Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex challenges.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with ethical considerations and regulatory requirements related to AI implementations.
- A master's degree in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in leading AI projects and teams, especially in the public sector or governance space, is an advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Build intelligent chat interfaces using LLMs over structured datasets.
- Work with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks to build retrieval-based AI apps.
- Integrate AI models with sources like PostgreSQL, CSV/Excel, MongoDB, and REST APIs.
- Design clean and responsive interfaces using Streamlit, FastAPI, or similar.
- Optimize prompts and RAG pipelines to ensure accurate, real-time responses.
- Collaborate with designers, data engineers, and PMs to deliver full-stack AI solutions.
- Deploy applications using Docker, Git, and optionally cloud platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design secure, efficient, and scalable solutions.
- Lead comprehensive technical discussions with team members and provide guidance.

Additional Skills

- Building user interfaces in React or Streamlit.
- Experience with fine-tuning LLMs or contributing to open-source GenAI projects.
- Familiarity with cloud deployments
