ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

At Ancilar, we are looking for curious, hands-on builders who enjoy turning ideas into working software.

You will work alongside our engineering team to build full-stack applications, explore AI-assisted development, and test current product ideas across Web2 and Web3. You will use tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor to move quickly, while taking responsibility for understanding, testing, and improving the code you ship.

This internship is suited to students who enjoy experimenting, solving practical problems, and learning by building.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Build working prototypes: Turn ideas and problem statements into functional applications, covering web interfaces, backend services, APIs, and databases.
- Use AI tools effectively: Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and similar tools to plan, build, debug, and improve applications.
- Understand the problem: Work with the engineering and product team to identify user needs, define what a prototype should demonstrate, and decide how to evaluate it.
- Test and compare solutions: Evaluate prototypes and alternative approaches for functionality, performance, reliability, cost, and ease of use.
- Iterate quickly: Demonstrate your work, explain what you learned, gather feedback, and improve the most promising ideas.
- Explore AI features and automation: Where relevant, integrate AI APIs, agent workflows, and automation into applications.
- Document your findings: Maintain clear setup instructions, progress updates, and notes on technical decisions and results.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Basic hands-on programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or another relevant language.
- Familiarity with web development concepts, including frontend interfaces, backend services, APIs, and databases.
- Evidence that you enjoy building things, such as a college project, personal application, hackathon submission,



or open-source contribution.
- A prototyping mindset: the ability to start with a simple working version, test an idea, and refine it based on feedback.
- Willingness to use AI coding tools thoughtfully, review their output, and understand the code you submit.
- Basic understanding of data structures, problem-solving, and debugging.
- Curiosity about how different technical approaches compare and a willingness to measure results.
- Clear communication, openness to feedback, and the ability to explain your work.
- Ownership of assigned tasks, consistent participation, and availability for the full internship duration.

You do not need to know every tool listed. Strong fundamentals, curiosity, and a willingness to build matter more.

NICE TO HAVE

- Exposure to React, Next.js, Node.js, FastAPI, or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and deploying a web application.
- Experience using AI coding assistants or integrating an LLM API.
- Interest in developer tools, agentic applications, automation, or Web3.
- Experience testing application performance or comparing technical solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

- How to take an idea from an initial problem statement to a working demonstration.
- How to build and connect frontend, backend, database, and external API components.
- How to guide AI coding tools, validate their output, and debug issues.
- How to evaluate technical choices using practical tests and measurable results.
- How to collaborate through code reviews, demonstrations, documentation, and feedback.

ELIGIBILITY AND COMPLETION Applicants must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field, and be in their 2nd or 3rd year.

A Certificate of Completion will be provided upon successful completion of the internship and agreed deliverables.
