Role Description The Accountant will work full time in office at the Guwahati office, handling day-to-day financial and accounting operations.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate ledgers, recording daily transactions, preparing invoices, tracking accounts receivable and payable, and reconciling bank statements. The role involves assisting with monthly and annual closing, supporting tax and compliance filings, and preparing financial reports for management review. The Accountant will collaborate with operations, procurement, and sales teams to ensure correct cost allocation, inventory valuation,



and timely payments.

The role also includes maintaining documentation for audits, improving internal controls, and supporting the implementation of accounting best practices and systems.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including ledger management, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Candidates should possess skills in budgeting, cost analysis, and inventory accounting, preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of taxation, compliance, and statutory filings relevant to Indian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems), MS Excel, and basic MS Office tools.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA) are an added advantage.
- Prior experience in an accounting role, preferably in manufacturing, food processing, or export-oriented businesses, will be beneficial.
