About the Role

MAAC Whitefield is looking for a result-oriented and student-focused Academic Counsellor to handle student counselling, lead conversion, walk-ins, admissions, and fee collections.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication and counselling skills, a passion for helping students choose the right career path, and the ability to achieve monthly admission and collection targets.

Key Responsibilities

· Handle and follow up with leads generated through calls, digital enquiries, walk-ins, and other channels.

· Understand students' career goals and recommend suitable courses based on their interests and requirements.

· Convert leads into walk-ins through effective tele-counselling and follow-up.

· Convert walk-ins into admissions through professional counselling, course presentations, and objection handling.

· Explain course curriculum, career opportunities, duration, fee structure, and other relevant details to students and parents.

· Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective students until admission closure.

· Achieve monthly admission and revenue/collection targets.

· Ensure timely collection of course fees from enrolled students.

· Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, walk-ins, admissions,



and collections in the CRM/lead management system.

· Build strong relationships with students and parents and provide a positive counselling experience.

· Coordinate with the academic and centre teams for smooth student on boarding.

· Participate in promotional activities, seminars, career counselling sessions, and student engagement activities when required.

· Prepare and share regular reports on lead conversion, admissions, and collections.

Required Qualifications

· Graduate degree in any discipline.

· Experience in education counselling, sales, student admissions, or customer relationship management preferred.

· Mandatory: Good command of English.

· Mandatory: Fluency in the relevant local language (Kannada).

· Knowledge of an additional language will be an advantage.

· Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

· Strong counselling, negotiation, persuasion, and objection-handling abilities.

· Target-oriented and comfortable working with monthly admission and collection goals.

· Good follow-up and relationship-management skills.

· Ability to communicate confidently with both students and parents.
