Position Title : Mechanical Maintenance

- Solar Cable

Position Summary : This position is responsible**to ensure reliable and efficient operation of all mechanical equipment and systems by executing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance, thereby minimizing downtime and supporting uninterrupted production.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities :

- Carry out preventive, breakdown, and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment such as extruders, CCV lines, RBD, RST, Armouring, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, EOT cranes, utility equipment, etc.
- Identify, analyse, and rectify mechanical breakdowns to minimize production loss.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and update maintenance records, checklists, machine history, and spare parts consumption.
- Coordinate with production and planning teams to ensure optimum machine availability.
- Ensure timely availability of critical spares, identify fast-moving spares, and support inventory control.
- Supervise and guide technicians and contractors during maintenance activities and shutdowns.
- Participate in shutdown planning, execution, and post-shutdown review.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and statutory requirements during maintenance work.
- Support equipment modification, capacity improvement, and energy-saving initiatives.
- Maintain proper housekeeping as per 5S standards in maintenance areas.





Critical Success Factors - Essential :

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machines such as wire drawing, annealing, stranding, and extrusion
- 3 - 5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance role within a metal, cable, or wire manufacturing plant.
- Exposure in metal industry specially in Conductor production
