Dispatch Supervisor

Job Summary

The Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely delivery and transportation coordination, supervising dispatch staff, and maintaining effective communication between drivers, warehouse teams, and customers. The role focuses on operational efficiency, route management, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily dispatch activities.
- Assign routes and schedules to drivers and delivery personnel.
- Monitor shipment status and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Maintain communication with drivers, customers, and internal departments.
- Resolve delivery issues, delays, and transportation-related problems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations.
- Track vehicle utilization, fuel usage, and driver performance.
- Prepare dispatch reports and maintain accurate records.
- Train, guide, and evaluate dispatch staff and drivers.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for smooth operations.




- Handle emergency situations and provide quick operational solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in dispatch, logistics, or transportation operations.
- Robust leadership and team management skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of route planning and dispatch software.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.

Experience

- 2-5 years of experience in dispatch or logistics operations.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Working Conditions

- May require shift work, weekends, or extended hours depending on operational needs.
- Fast-paced logistics or transportation environment.
