Manager - Costing (Cost Accountant)

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain Plant Costing and Product Costing for manufacturing operations.
- Prepare and monitor Cost Sheets , Standard Costing , Actual Costing , and Variance Analysis .
- Ensure accurate Inventory Management , Stock Reconciliation , and inventory valuation.
- Monitor Raw Material Consumption , production costs, and manufacturing overheads to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare Cost MIS Reports , Budget Analysis , profitability reports, and management dashboards.
- Conduct Cost Control , Yield Analysis , and operational efficiency reviews.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Procurement, and Finance teams for accurate cost allocation and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Cost Accounting Standards , statutory cost records, and internal financial controls.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, month-end closing activities, and audit requirements.




- Recommend and implement initiatives for Cost Optimization and process improvements.

Required Skills :

- Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting , Plant Costing , Inventory Control , and Standard Costing .
- Hands-on experience in Manufacturing Cost Analysis , Variance Analysis , and Product Costing .
- Proficiency in Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookup Functions, Dashboards, Data Analysis).
- Working knowledge of Tally ERP or any ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics .
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Preferred Industry

Manufacturing, FMCG, Food Processing, Edible Oil, Process Manufacturing, Chemicals, or Engineering.

- 4-6 years of relevant experience in Plant/Factory Costing .
- CMA preferred; CMA Inter or CA Inter with relevant experience may also apply.
