Please describe the Job Description of this Position :

- a) Entering and updating bibliographic records of books in the Koha Library Management Software.
- b) Carrying out shelf rectification and classifying books according to the prescribed classification system.
- c) Assisting students and faculty members in locating books and other reading materials.
- d) Organizing, re-shelving, and maintaining returned items such as books, journals, and periodicals.
- e) Assisting in library stock verification and inventory checking.
- f) Printing barcode labels, RFID tag and properly labeling library materials.
- g) Managing book circulation activities, including issue, return, and renewal of books.
- h) Making reminder calls to students regarding overdue books and circulation status.
- i) Cataloging and maintaining library resources in both physical and digital formats.
- j) Guiding users on how to access and effectively use library resources and services.
- k) Responding to user queries and providing general reference and information assistance.
- l) Performing duties during holidays and weekends as per institutional requirements.
- m) Monitoring the PTC footfall system to ensure users check in and check out correctly.
- n)



Maintaining vigilance at the library property counter to safeguard library assets.
- o.) Managing library website and institutional repository on Dspace.
- p.) Handling overall library operations independently during the absence of the Librarian.
