Educational Qualification

- Minimum : Graduate in any discipline (BA, BCom, BSc, BBA, etc.)

- Preferred :

- BBA / MBA (especially in Marketing, Finance, Operations, or Supply Chain)

- B.E. / B.Tech (for technical/engineering tenders)

- Commerce or Management background is most common

Experience

- Fresher : Very few openings (only in small companies or as junior assistant)

- Most common requirement :1-5 years**:

- 1-2 years → Junior Tender Executive / Tender Filling role

- 2-5 years → Tender Executive / Senior Tender Executive

- 5+ years → Senior roles or Tender Manager

- Many pharma, construction, IT, and manufacturing companies specifically ask for 2+ years in tender filing

Must-Have Skills & Knowledge

- Excellent knowledge of major Indian tender portals:

- GeM (Government e-Marketplace) — most important nowadays

- CPP Portal (Central Public Procurement Portal)

- e-Procure (various state portals)

- IREPS (Indian Railways)

- MSTC , NIC portals , private company tender sites

- Experience in online tender filling & uploading (document preparation, DSC usage, online bid submission, reverse auction participation)

- Good understanding of tender documents — NIT, Tender Notice, BOQ, Terms & Conditions,



Eligibility criteria, etc.

- Ability to prepare technical bid + commercial/price bid :

- Basic knowledge of government procurement rules and GFR (General Financial Rules)

Important Soft & Technical Skills

- Very strong attention to detail (small mistake = bid rejection)
- Excellent English writing (for bid writing, clarification replies)
- Valuable MS Office skills (especially Excel for BOQ/price sheets, Word for formatting bids)
- Time management (tenders have very strict deadlines)
- Research skills (finding relevant tenders daily)
- Basic negotiation & communication (for seeking clarifications)

Additional Nice-to-Have (gives you advantage)

- Experience with Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) handling
- Knowledge of MSME/Udyam benefits in tenders
- Familiarity with specific sectors (pharma, construction, IT, medical equipment, etc.)
- Basic understanding of GST, PAN, company registration documents
- Experience in preparing EMD , Performance Bank Guarantee , affidavits , etc.
