Job Summary

A Stenographer is responsible for taking dictation in shorthand and transcribing it into written documents. They support executives or departments by preparing correspondence, maintaining records, and handling administrative tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Shorthand & Transcription

- Take dictation in shorthand during meetings, speeches, or discussions .
- Transcribe shorthand notes accurately into typed documents.
- Prepare official letters, reports, and memos.

- Administrative Support

- Assist senior officers or managers with documentation and communication.
- Maintain files, records, and confidential documents.
- Schedule meetings and manage correspondence.

- Documentation & Record Keeping

- Prepare meeting minutes and reports.
- Maintain records of official communications.
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of documents.

- Office Coordination

- Coordinate with different departments for documentation.

Required Skills :





- Shorthand writing speed (usually 80-120 words per minute depending on job requirements)

- Good typing speed :

- Strong English language and grammar skills :

- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Time management and organizational skills

- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and office software

Qualifications

- Diploma or certification in Stenography / Secretarial Practice .
- Graduation preferred in some organizations.
- Knowledge of English shorthand (or regional language shorthand depending on job).

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
