An IoT Home Automation Project Coordinator serves as the administrative and operational bridge between technical teams (engineers, technicians) and clients to ensure smart home systems are installed accurately and on schedule. Unlike a Project Manager who defines the high-level strategy, a Coordinator focuses on day-to-day execution, documentation, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities

- Project Administration : Maintain comprehensive project documentation, filing systems, and track milestones or deliverables.
- Client & Vendor Liaison : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, drafting communications and coordinating site visits.
- Logistics & Scheduling : Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for the delivery of equipment (e.g., smart hubs, sensors, controllers) and schedule installation teams.
- Technical Support Coordination : Organize technical specifications, track device configurations, and update status reports for management.

Meeting Management : Schedule internal and client meetings, prepare agendas, and track action items to ensure project continuity.

Site Readiness : Process work permits and ensure site access for technicians performing electrical or network work.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Industry Knowledge : Familiarity with IoT technologies (sensors, microcontrollers like ESP8266/NodeMCU) and home automation systems (lighting, HVAC, security).
- Project Management :



Should be capable of coordinating well between technician and project managers.
- Soft Skills : Strong multitasking, detail orientation, and clear verbal/written communication for managing diverse stakeholders.
- Education : typically, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related technical field.

Key Responsibilities :

- On-Site Installation & Setup: Installing, configuring, and commissioning IoT hardware, sensors, actuators, and gateways at client sites.
- Networking & Connectivity: Configuring and troubleshooting wireless (Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LoRaWAN) and cellular networks to ensure reliable data transmission.
- Testing & Validation: Testing devices and systems for functionality, reliability, and security, identifying, and resolving technical problems.
- Maintenance & Support: Providing field-level technical support, troubleshooting, and performing firmware updates or hardware repairs.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhering to site safety protocols and ensuring installations meet technical and regulatory standards.

Common Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in electronics, computer science, or related field.
- Experience with embedded systems, sensors, and communication protocols (MQTT, HTTP).
- Robust troubleshooting skills and proficiency with diagnostic tools.
