I'm Wholesome is a Mumbai based culinary brand, founded in 2020 by chef Manpreet Dhody and Anupreet Dhody. We create curated food experiences: luxury grazing tables, gourmet gifting, event catering and the Wholesome Studio, a cooking and events space in Khar (West). We have designed bespoke tablescapes for leading luxury, lifestyle and corporate brands. Our team is close knit and founder led, and we value creativity, attention to detail and a warm client experience.

Role Description

The HR Manager will lead HR at I'm Wholesome and own the full employee journey, from hiring to exit, for a team of 50 plus people across our kitchen, events, studio and office. You will report to the founders and lead a Junior HR Executive. This is a full time role based at our Khar (West) studio in Mumbai. Working days are Monday to Saturday, with immediate joining.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and mentor the Junior HR Executive, and assign and review their work

2. Plan hiring with the founders, screen candidates, conduct interviews and lead salary negotiations and offers

3. Run onboarding so new team members settle in quickly

4. Oversee attendance and payroll on Keka, and ensure accurate monthly salary slips for 50 plus employees

Coordinate with our CA and outsourced agency on PF and ESIC

6. Hold regular one on one conversations with team members and address concerns early

7. Conduct exit interviews and complete exit formalities

8. Maintain cordial relations and smooth coordination between the kitchen, events, studio and office teams

9. Create and update HR policies, the employee handbook and appraisal process

10. Keep employee records and documents organised and up to date

Qualifications

1. 5 to 8 years of experience in HR, preferably in F&B;, hospitality or events

2. Experience managing HR for a team of 50 or more employees

3. Experience leading or mentoring a junior HR team member

4. Hands on experience with Keka or similar attendance and payroll software

5. Positive understanding of salary structures, HR policies and employment compliance

6. Excellent communication in English and Hindi; Marathi is a plus

7. Warm, fair and approachable, with strong people skills and sound judgement

8. Trustworthy with confidential employee information
