Job Description - PGT Physics Teacher

Position : Post Graduate Teacher - Physics Department : Academics Location : Shraddha Children's Academy Reports To : Principal / Senior Secondary Academic Coordinator

Position Summary

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities

- Plan, prepare, and deliver Physics lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
- Teach theoretical and practical aspects of Physics effectively.
- Develop students' conceptual understanding and problem-solving abilities.
- Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and study materials.
- Conduct regular assessments, tests, and examinations.
- Evaluate answer scripts and provide timely feedback to students.
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial coaching where required.
- Prepare students for CBSE Board Examinations and competitive examinations such as JEE, NEET, and other entrance tests.
- Integrate experiential learning, demonstrations, and technology-enabled teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.

Laboratory Management

- Conduct Physics practical sessions as per CBSE guidelines.
- Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of laboratory equipment and resources.
- Guide students in conducting experiments safely and accurately.
- Maintain laboratory records, practical files, and inventory documentation.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and protocols.

Student Development

- Encourage scientific temperament, critical thinking, and innovation.
- Mentor students in academic projects, exhibitions, and science-related competitions.
- Support the overall academic and personal growth of students.
- Provide career guidance related to higher education opportunities in science and engineering fields.

Classroom Management

- Maintain a disciplined, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Monitor student attendance, participation, and academic progress.
- Ensure adherence to school policies and code of conduct.

Parent Communication





- Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and communicate student progress effectively.
- Address academic concerns and suggest improvement strategies to parents.

School Responsibilities

- Participate in school events, assemblies, examinations, and academic initiatives.
- Undertake invigilation, paper setting, and evaluation responsibilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve academic outcomes.
- Attend staff meetings, workshops, training programs, and professional development activities.
- Contribute to curriculum enrichment and departmental planning.

Qualifications :

- M.Sc. in Physics (mandatory).
- B.Ed. (mandatory).
- Additional qualifications in Education or related fields will be an added advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience as a Physics teacher in a CBSE or reputed school.
- Experience teaching Grades XI and XII is mandatory.
- Experience in preparing students for Board and competitive examinations is preferred.
