Job Description: Academic Leadership

- Lead and guide teachers within the department.
- Ensure proper implementation of the curriculum.
- Plan academic goals and maintain high teaching standards.
- Introduce innovative teaching strategies and learning methods.

1. Curriculum Planning

- Prepare yearly and term-wise academic plans.
- Review and update teaching materials, lesson plans, and syllabi.
- Ensure alignment with board requirements (CBSE)

- Teacher Supervision and Support

- Monitor the performance of teachers in the department.
- Conduct classroom observations.
- Provide mentoring, feedback, and professional development support.
- Organize training workshops for teachers.

- Student Performance Monitoring

- Track students’ academic progress and results.
- Analyze exam outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
- Support teachers in helping struggling students.

- Assessment and Evaluation

- Oversee preparation of question papers, assignments, and assessments.
- Ensure fair and consistent grading standards.




- Review examination procedures and results.

- Administrative Responsibilities

- Coordinate departmental meetings.
- Maintain academic records and reports.
- Manage teaching resources, labs, and departmental budgets.
- Communicate with school management and administration.

- Communication and Coordination

- Act as a link between teachers and school leadership (Principal/Vice Principal).
- Coordinate with other departments for interdisciplinary learning.
- Communicate with parents when needed regarding academic matters.

- Department Development

- Encourage student participation in academic competitions.
- Promote research, projects, and innovative learning.

Overall Goal : The HOD ensures that the department runs smoothly, teachers perform effectively, and students achieve robust academic outcomes.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
