High School Teacher (English / Mathematics / Science / Social Science)

Deccan Matriculation School, Ponnai is seeking qualified and passionate High School Teachers to handle classes for 9th and 10th standard in English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. The role involves delivering engaging and concept-focused lessons, supporting students’ academic growth, and maintaining a positive and disciplined classroom environment.

Subject-wise Responsibilities : English Teacher :

- Teach grammar, literature, and writing skills effectively
- Improve students’ reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension abilities
- Encourage creative writing and communication skills
- Conduct activities like debates, storytelling, and presentations
- Prepare students for board exams with proper language practice

Mathematics Teacher :

- Teach mathematical concepts with clarity and step-by-step explanations
- Help students develop problem-solving and logical thinking skills
- Provide regular practice through exercises, assignments, and tests
- Identify and support slow learners with additional guidance
- Prepare students for exams with revision and model question papers

Science Teacher (Physics / Chemistry / Biology) :

- Conduct experiments and demonstrations where applicable
- Prepare lesson plans aligned with the syllabus




- Help students build strong conceptual understanding for board exams

Social Science Teacher :

- Teach History, Geography, Civics, and Economics effectively
- Make lessons interactive through maps, charts, and discussions
- Help students understand social concepts and current affairs
- Encourage analytical thinking and general awareness
- Prepare students for exams with structured notes and revisions

Key Responsibilities (All Subjects) :

- Plan and deliver effective lesson plans as per syllabus
- Prepare study materials, worksheets, and assignments
- Conduct regular assessments, tests, and evaluations
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback
- Maintain classroom discipline and student engagement
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and academic planning

Qualifications :

- Mathematics: M.Sc in Mathematics
- Science: M.Sc in Physics / Chemistry / Biology

Requirements :

- Good communication skills in Tamil and English
- Ability to handle high school students effectively
- Passion for teaching and student development
- Classroom management skills
