To collect blood and other clinical samples from patients in a protected, hygienic, and professional manner while ensuring patient comfort and proper sample handling. Key Responsibilities 1. Sample Collection - Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection safely. - Collect samples such as blood, urine, swabs, and other specimens as required. - Follow proper patient identification protocols before sample collection. 2. Patient Care - Ensure patient comfort and reduce anxiety during sample collection. - Explain the procedure to patients when required. - Handle pediatric, geriatric, and difficult patients carefully. 3. Sample Handling - Label samples correctly with patient details immediately after collection. - Ensure proper storage and transportation of samples to the laboratory. - Follow sample rejection and recollection protocols if required. 4. Infection Control - Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control practices. - Dispose of needles and biomedical waste as per biomedical waste guidelines. - Ensure safety of self and patients. 5. Documentation - Maintain records of samples collected. - Update laboratory information system (LIS) or registers where applicable.



- Ensure proper documentation of home collection samples. 6. Home Sample Collection - Visit patient homes when assigned for sample collection. - Maintain professionalism and represent the laboratory positively. 7. Inventory & Equipment - Maintain stock of vacutainers, needles, syringes, gloves, and collection materials. - Ensure phlebotomy area remains clean and organized. 8. Coordination - Coordinate with laboratory technicians and reception staff for smooth workflow. - Report any sample collection issues immediately to the supervisor. Skills Required - Good venipuncture skills - Basic knowledge of laboratory sample handling - Good communication and patient handling skills - Proper documentation of payments and entries Qualification - DMLT / Certified Phlebotomy Training preferred. - Experience in diagnostic lab or hospital is desirable. Work Requirements - Full-time availability. - Willingness to perform home sample collection when required. Pay: ₹9,000.00 - ₹11,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
