Engineering Manager - Performance, Chaos Engineering & Security ValidationJob Summary : We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead Performance Engineering, Chaos Engineering, and Security Validation initiatives for large-scale distributed systems.The role involves driving performance, scalability, resilience, and security testing strategies, identifying system bottlenecks, building reusable automation frameworks, and improving system observability and reliability.Key Responsibilities : - Drive performance, scalability, resilience, and security testing strategies for distributed systems.- Identify and resolve application, API, database, and infrastructure bottlenecks.- Design and execute chaos engineering and fault-injection experiments to evaluate system resilience.- Develop reusable automation frameworks and testing tools.- Establish observability through metrics, logs, traces, and monitoring dashboards.- Lead technical discussions, mentor engineers,



and collaborate with cross-functional teams.- Drive technical decisions and take ownership of end-to-end engineering outcomes.Required Skills and Experience : - 10+ years of experience in Performance Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Quality Engineering.- Hands-on expertise with performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6, LoadRunner, or similar tools.- Experience with Chaos Engineering tools such as LitmusChaos and Chaos Mesh.- Robust understanding of microservices, distributed systems, APIs, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and observability tools.- Exposure to application and API security testing.- Proven ability to drive technical decisions and manage end-to-end engineering outcomes.Preferred Technologies : - Performance Testing : JMeter, k6, LoadRunner- Chaos Engineering : LitmusChaos, Chaos Mesh- Containers and Orchestration : Kubernetes, Docker- Cloud Platforms : AWS, Azure, GCP- Observability : Grafana, Prometheus- Automation and CI/CD : Playwright, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD (ref:hirist.tech)
