Akamai is hiring for the role of Software Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

- Analyzing, designing, and implementing high availability systems software.

- Bringing new functionality to a portfolio of services focused on automation, observability and identity management.

- Supporting the full product life cycle - ideation, implementation, operation.

- Improving the ability of our software systems for testing, deployment, monitoring and maintenance.

- Mentoring less experienced engineers to ensure quality solutions are implemented.

- Evaluating emerging trends and technologies related to network operations and automation.

Requirements:

- Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field.

- Have at least 0.6 years experience with programming in Python, Go and/or shell script.

- Have at least 0.6 years development experience on Linux/ Unix platforms.

- Have knowledge of common internet protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS and/or TLS/SSL.

- Have experience with git/Stash and Perforce version control systems.

- Demonstrate exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities & a positive team player.
