ABOUT THE COMPANY

SModi Infrasteel Pvt. Ltd. is a growing manufacturer of Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings (PEB), specializing in design, fabrication, supply, and erection of industrial steel structures.

With expanding manufacturing facilities and a production capacity of up to 3,000 MT per month, we are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Planning & Control (PPC) Manager to lead our production planning, material optimization, nesting, scheduling, and manufacturing coordination.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Production Planning & Scheduling

- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on project priorities, approved drawings, and delivery commitments.
- Prepare project-wise and machine-wise production schedules.
- Plan fabrication activities, including CNC cutting, H-beam assembly, welding, drilling, fit-up, blasting, painting, and dispatch.
- Monitor production progress against planned targets.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and production capacity.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective action plans.

2. Material Planning & Control

- Prepare raw material requirements based on approved fabrication drawings and BOQs.
- Coordinate with purchase and stores for timely material availability.
- Maintain project-wise material allocation and consumption records.
- Monitor steel plate, HR coil, structural sections, and other raw material inventory.
- Minimize material shortages, excess inventory, and production delays.
- Coordinate with management for material procurement priorities.

3. CNC Nesting & Material Optimization

- Supervise and verify CNC plate nesting and cutting plans.




- Ensure maximum material utilization and minimum scrap generation.
- Monitor plate-wise material consumption, offcuts, and wastage.
- Coordinate nesting activities with fabrication drawings and production priorities.
- Maintain nesting efficiency and material reconciliation reports.
- Ensure proper identification and traceability of cut components.

4. Production Monitoring & Coordination

- Coordinate with design, detailing, purchase, stores, production, QC, painting, and dispatch departments.
- Ensure timely release of fabrication drawings and cutting plans.
- Monitor project-wise tonnage completion at every production stage.
- Track planned versus actual production performance.
- Ensure smooth workflow between fabrication, blasting, painting, and dispatch.
- Prioritize urgent projects without affecting overall production efficiency.

5. Dispatch Planning & Project Execution

- Prepare project-wise and lot-wise dispatch schedules.
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for material readiness and vehicle planning.
- Ensure production sequencing aligns with site erection requirements.
- Monitor pending fabrication, painting, and dispatch quantities.
- Coordinate with project teams to meet committed delivery schedules.

6. MIS Reporting & Documentation

- Prepare daily production reports (DPR).
- Maintain planned versus actual production reports.
- Prepare weekly and monthly production performance summaries.
- Track project-wise fabrication status, raw material consumption, and production efficiency.
- Maintain production dashboards, delay reports, and corrective action records.
- Present production status and critical issues directly to management.

7. Productivity Improvement & Cost Control

- Improve machine utilization and overall plant productivity.
- Reduce idle time, rework, material wastage, and production delays.
- Implement effective production planning systems and SOPs.




- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including production tonnage, nesting efficiency, material utilization, and on-time dispatch.
- Work closely with the Plant Head to achieve monthly production targets.
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSDiploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in PEB or heavy structural steel fabrication.
- Strong understanding of PEB fabrication processes and shop-floor operations.
- Experience in CNC nesting, plate optimization, and material planning.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/MRP systems, and production planning software.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, fabrication drawings, and BOQ interpretation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and production priorities simultaneously.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Experience handling high-volume steel fabrication facilities will be preferred.
- KEY PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONSAchievement of daily and monthly production targets.
- Timely completion of project-wise fabrication schedules.
- Minimum material wastage through efficient nesting.
- Maximum utilization of available plant capacity.
- Accurate production reporting and material reconciliation.
- On-time material readiness for dispatch.
- Effective coordination between all manufacturing departments.
