Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical components, machine guarding systems, safety enclosures, and industrial structures. The role involves preparing 2D and 3D CAD models, technical drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and supporting manufacturing, assembly, and installation activities to ensure quality, safety, and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, machine guards, safety enclosures, and industrial structures.
- Create and modify 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software such as Solid Edge, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Develop designs using suitable materials, standard components, fasteners, profiles, sheet metal, and fabrication methods.
- Perform basic engineering calculations related to dimensions, tolerances, strength, clearances, and material selection.
- Support prototype development, product testing, assembly, and design validation.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, fabrication, quality, procurement, and installation teams to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Review designs for manufacturability, ease of assembly, cost optimization, and maintenance accessibility.
- Ensure that designs comply with applicable machine safety requirements, engineering standards,



and company quality procedures.
- Assist in identifying and resolving design, fabrication, and production-related issues.
- Incorporate design modifications based on customer requirements, site conditions, and engineering feedback.
- Maintain accurate engineering drawings, revision records, technical documentation, and project files.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas for continuous improvement and product development.
- Required QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Solid Edge, AutoCAD, or other relevant 2D/3D CAD software.
- Understanding of fabrication, sheet metal design, structural components, and mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T;, material selection, and engineering calculations.
- Positive problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in machine guarding, industrial safety systems, automation equipment, or mechanical fabrication.
- Knowledge of aluminium profiles, safety fencing, sheet metal enclosures, brackets, hinges, and mounting systems.
- Familiarity with manufacturing drawings, BOM preparation, and engineering change management.
- Understanding of machine guarding risk assessment and relevant safety standards.
- Ability to coordinate with production teams and provide technical support during manufacturing and installation.

Experience: Freshers or candidates with 1–3 years of relevant experience may apply.
