StoryMirror is a publishing and storytelling platform that publishes books by writers from across India. We ship books to readers, authors and partners every day, and we’re looking for a reliable person to run our dispatch and local deliveries.
Job Responsibilities
- Pack books and orders carefully so they reach customers without damage
- Prepare parcels for courier pickup (labels, invoices, address checks)
- Hand over shipments to courier partners and keep tracking numbers updated
- Maintain the daily dispatch register in Excel or a notebook
- Deliver books and documents locally to authors, bookstores, printers and offices
- Collect printed books from printing presses and bring them to the office or warehouse
- Help keep book stock arranged and count inventory when needed
- Handle office errands such as courier drop-offs, bank or post office visits
- Report any damaged, missing or returned parcels to the manager
Requirements
- Education: 10th or 12th pass
- Experience: 0–2 years (freshers welcome; dispatch, courier or delivery experience is a plus)
- Own two-wheeler with a valid driving licence (mandatory)
- Smartphone with WhatsApp and Google Maps
- Able to read addresses in English
- Honest, punctual and careful while handling goods and cash
- Basic Excel or computer knowledge is a plus
Languages: Hindi, Marathi, basic English
