JOB DESCRIPTION – ASSEMBLY FITTER (SPM)

Position: Assembly Fitter – SPM (Special Purpose Machine)

Department: Production / Machine Assembly

Experience: 2–5 Years

Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Job Responsibilities:

- Assemble Special Purpose Machines (SPM) as per engineering drawings.

- Perform mechanical fitting, assembly, and alignment of machine components.

- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly diagrams.

- Handle fitting tools, measuring instruments, and precision tools.

- Perform drilling, tapping, grinding, and other fitting operations as required.

- Assemble pneumatic cylinders, guides, bearings, shafts, and other mechanical components.

- Ensure proper machine alignment, fitting accuracy, and quality standards.





- Coordinate with the production and engineering teams.

- Assist in machine testing, troubleshooting, and final commissioning.

Required Skills:

- Hands-on experience in SPM machine assembly.

- Knowledge of mechanical fitting and machine alignment.

- Ability to read mechanical engineering drawings.

- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.

- Knowledge of pneumatic systems will be an advantage.

- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.

Preferred Candidate:

Candidates with practical experience in SPM assembly, automation machines, and industrial machine fitting will be preferred.
