Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of SAP Process Integration and SAP particularly Cloud Integration (CPI) and API Management along with a strong understanding of modern enterprise architecture and integration best practices. The SAP PI/CI Engineer is responsible for the design, build, testing, implementation, and environment support of SAP BTP Integration solutions and associated application components. In this role, you will design and develop interfaces using SAP as the middleware tool, delivering SAP integration solutions for hybrid scenarios using integration protocols and adapters (SFTP, SOAP, REST, etc.). They will work with the SAP Functional Team and non-SAP application teams to ensure application designs follow the appropriate integration patterns and standards. You will also support application engineers, functional business specialists, and client team members to resolve issues and deliver enhancements.

Job Duties/Essential Functions:

- Analyze, design, develop and test implement integration solutions to connect various systems, applications, and data sources utilizing integration tools and technologies such as SAP
- Lead efforts to design, develop, test, troubleshooting and maintenance of integration components for applications and systems. SAP APIs, web services, and middleware platforms.
- Define and implement end-to-end business process flows by orchestrating multiple systems and applications, including mapping process flows, designing message mappings and transformations, and managing the flow of data and transactions between systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, Solution Architects, and Engineers to design and implement productive and scalable integration solutions based on business requirements, and provide guidance on integration best practices.
- Identify and resolve integration issues, system errors, and performance bottlenecks.
- Monitor and maintain integration landscapes, ensuring smooth data flow and providing support for system integrations and process orchestration.
- Document integration designs, configurations, and processes for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Works independently and within a team environment.

- Provide 24x7 level 3 on-call support of production systems on a rotation basis in support of technical processes and interfaces.

- Build and maintain a solid understanding of the application areas and the business areas they support.

- Work with PI/CI team members and prepare system documentation, training material, and configuration and process documentation.

Experience, skills, education & licenses/certifications:

Required:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business, or another related technical discipline.
- Experience with Integration suite and CPI.
- 10+ years of experience developing interfaces using SAP , PI/CI, ABAP, and APIs.
- Skilled in interface design and development using SAP as the middleware tool.
- Experience linking SAP to both SAP and multiple non-SAP systems.
- Experience coordinating full lifecycle SAP implementations from preparation through go live and operations.
- Experience with protocols and formats such as flat file, SFTP, SOAP, REST, RFC, IDoc, etc.
- Knowledge of SAP IDoc processing and monitoring services.




- Knowledge of REST architecture/technology and experience with REST/OData adapters.
- Working knowledge of SAP finance-related business processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport and supports understanding among both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendation
- Hands on experience working with business users and Solution Architects to determine integration requirements, develop and test PI/CI interfaces.
- Experience with Groovy and JAVA Scripting.
- Experience in the configuration of adapters such as JMS, SFTP, SOAP, IDOC, Proxy, FTPS, web services, and iFlows.
- Experience working in and administering a multi-tenant PI/CI Environment.
- Experience with CTS+ transport management and alert configuration.
- Experience in integration with SAP cloud applications such as Success Factors with On-premise solutions.
- Experience in setting up Keystore, generating SSL certificates and SSH Tokens.
- Must be self-motivated, responsible, conscientious, and detail-oriented.
- Must have proven ability to set and follow priorities and timeline.
- Ability to develop repeatable development processes with supporting documentation.
- Must have the ability to build lasting trusted partnerships across various functional areas and technical disciplines. Able to support off-hours work as required, including weekends, holidays, and 24/7 on call responsibilities on a rotational basis
- International travel may be required

Recommended:

- Experience with SAP PI/CI 7.4 or higher.
- Experience with SAP Cloud Connector.
- Experience with BPM design and modeling. optional
- Experience integrating custom and package products across complex enterprise environments.
- Working understanding of security standards such as SAML, XACML, MASSL, and OATH.
- Successful internal candidates will have spent one year or more on their current team
