The team produces legal news, key judgments, explain-the-law content, interviews and podcasts with legal experts, and articles focused on legal awareness. Its mission is to make legal information accessible and clear for law students, young lawyers, professionals, and the wider public.

Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Video Editor role based in New Delhi, with flexibility for some work-from-home.

The Video

Editor will handle end-to-end video production for legal news, explainers, interviews, and social media content, including editing footage, adding graphics, and preparing platform-ready outputs.

Responsibilities include organizing raw material, assembling rough and final cuts, syncing audio, applying transitions and effects, and ensuring consistent visual style aligned with LawChakra®’s brand. The role involves close collaboration with writers, hosts, and the social media team to plan video formats, adapt content for different platforms,



and meet publishing deadlines.

The Video

Editor will also optimize videos for viewer engagement, including thumbnail creation, vertical formats, and basic sound design.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing for short-form and long-form content.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent, professional visual quality.
- Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics for titles, lower thirds, infographics, and social media visuals.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
- Understanding of digital and social media formats (YouTube, Instagram Reels, Shorts, podcasts) and basic sound editing.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work to deadlines, and openness to feedback and iterative edits.
- Positive communication skills and ability to collaborate with content, design, and editorial teams.
- Interest in law, public affairs, or educational content is an advantage; prior experience in media or content production is a plus.
