Role Description This full-time, on-site Sr. Bakery & Pastry Chef role is based in Gurugram. The Sr. Bakery & Pastry Chef will oversee daily production of breads, pastries, cookies, and other baked goods, ensuring consistent quality, flavor, and presentation.

Responsibilities include planning menus, developing new recipes, supervising junior kitchen staff, and managing baking schedules to meet customer demand. The role involves organizing ingredients and supplies, monitoring food safety and hygiene standards, and coordinating with purchasing and operations teams. The Sr. Bakery & Pastry Chef is also expected to maintain cost controls,



minimize waste, and contribute to an efficient, collaborative kitchen environment.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in bakery operations, including planning and supervising daily baking activities.
- Advanced skills in baking and pastry techniques, with the ability to develop and refine recipes.
- Hands-on experience in food preparation, including mixing, shaping, baking, and decorating baked goods.
- Proficiency in creating a variety of cookies and confections, focusing on taste, texture, and consistency.
- Expertise in producing different types of bread, including artisan loaves and specialty products.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen best practices.
- Ability to lead and train kitchen staff, organize workflow, and manage time effectively.
- Previous experience as a senior or head baker/pastry chef in a commercial kitchen or bakery.
- Culinary or bakery certification/diploma is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
- Robust attention to detail, creativity, and a commitment to high-quality customer offerings.
