Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef (Indian Cuisine) located at THE BRISTOL in Gurugram.

The Sous

Chef will support the Executive Chef in planning and executing Indian menus, overseeing food preparation, and ensuring dishes meet quality and presentation standards. Daily responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, maintaining hygiene and safety protocols, monitoring inventory, and coordinating with purchasing to secure fresh ingredients. The role will also involve training team members on recipes and techniques,



assisting in menu development for special events, and collaborating with management to align culinary offerings with guest preferences and business goals.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Indian cuisine, including regional specialties, traditional techniques, and contemporary presentation styles.
- Proven experience in a qualified kitchen, preferably in a hotel or high-volume restaurant environment.
- Ability to supervise and mentor kitchen staff, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain a collaborative team culture.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen operations, including inventory management and cost control.
- Effective communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused setting.
- Relevant culinary education or formal chef training is preferred.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
