Role Description This is a full-time in office Senior Associate role at Ashwathh Legal, a boutique IP and Technology laws firm in New Delhi. The primary day-to-day requirement of this position is leading and strategising on complex contentious matters for the Litigation Team.

This role requires the individual to have highly advanced skills in commercial filings and comprehensive, hands-on experience in managing IP Litigation from inception to conclusion. Candidates are expected to demonstrate strong leadership, exceptional problem-solving, and advanced teamwork skills, alongside the interpersonal finesse required to manage relationships with key internal and external clients. They should be highly adept at working autonomously, taking ownership of high-stakes matters, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members, and delivering a consistently high standard of client service.

Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

- LLB degree from a reputed Law School, an LLM is an advantage
- 4-6 years of core IP litigation experience in an IP law firm
- In-depth understanding of IPR / Technology laws, Litigation proceedings, and the Commercial Courts Act
- Extensive, hands-on experience appearing and arguing before relevant forums, particularly the Delhi High Court and District Courts
- Highly proficient in drafting complex commercial suits, written statements, and pleadings, with an ability to depict complex ideas clearly and concisely
- Thorough knowledge of pertinent case laws, precedents, and procedural intricacies
- Excellent communication skills with advanced proficiency in spoken and written English
- Savvy with Technology and working seamlessly with electronic files
- Expertise in using MS-Office (Word, Excel & PPT) and Adobe Acrobat / PDF documents (including editing, bookmarking, pagination, etc.)




- Keen understanding and ability to comply with confidentiality obligations, working autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong capability in rigorous deadline management, with a proven track record of meeting strict statutory limitation periods and court-directed timelines for all commercial filings.
- Demonstrated excellence in client servicing, with the ability to intuitively understand clients' commercial objectives and manage expectations effectively.

Responsibilities

- General IP litigation (trademarks, copyrights, disparagement matters, etc.) and regularly appearing before High Courts and District Courts
- Advanced legal research, strategizing, and drafting of complex pleadings
- Preparing comprehensive case briefs and assisting in briefing Senior Counsel
- Maintaining a comprehensive watch on critical litigation matters of the firm. Taking absolute ownership of the litigation docket to ensure strict adherence to statutory deadlines and court-mandated timelines, guaranteeing that all drafts and commercial filings are executed efficiently and well in advance of final dates.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned clients. Elevating client servicing by providing proactive, strategic case updates, managing client expectations, aligning legal strategies with their business goals, and ensuring swift, professional turnaround times for all queries and deliverables.
- Providing overall leadership assistance to the juniors and court clerks in the Litigation team, mentoring junior associates, and actively contributing to enhancing the firm’s litigation practice
- Assisting the Litigation Partner in the overall running of the Litigation practice at Ashwathh Legal
