Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer (Python)

Location: Bengaluru, India (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Range: 30-35 Lpa

Experience Required: 7+ years of software engineering experience

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with robust Python expertise to

design and build scalable backend systems powering high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience developing robust APIs, working with real-time systems, and delivering reliable, production-grade backend services.

Prior Uber experience is strongly preferred due to the accelerated ramp-up timeline.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices

- Implement real-time communication systems (WebSockets)



where required Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of backend systems
- Collaborate with frontend and cross-functional teams for end-to-end delivery Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code Drive performance tuning, monitoring, and debugging in production environments

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 6+ years of backend development experience
- Strong proficiency in Python Experience building REST APIs and microservices architectures

- Solid understanding of WebSockets and real-time backend integrations
- Experience working with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and caching systems Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality, production-ready backend applications

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior Uber experience (strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with internal platform standards, large-scale systems, and high-availability architectures
