About the Role
2ndRank is looking for experienced and enthusiastic science instructors to deliver live 1:1 online classes to school-age students. The ideal candidate should have strong scientific knowledge, a clear understanding of core concepts, and the ability to make scientific topics easy to understand through relatable examples, logical explanations, and interactive teaching methods. You will help students develop scientific curiosity, conceptual understanding, and critical-thinking skills while adapting lessons to their individual learning levels. This is a part-time teaching opportunity for instructors comfortable teaching international students during the US shift. Responsibilities
• Conduct live 1:1 science classes for students aged 5–16.
• Teach age-appropriate science topics according to the student's grade, curriculum, and learning needs.
• Explain scientific principles, terminology, and processes in a simple and engaging manner.
• Help students develop conceptual understanding, scientific reasoning, and critical-thinking skills.




• Use relatable examples and interactive explanations to make learning engaging.
• Adapt teaching methods according to individual student needs and learning progress.
• Conduct demo classes for prospective students when assigned.
• Maintain regular class schedules and ensure timely attendance.
• Track student progress and provide relevant feedback.
• Use the 2ndRank Mentor Portal to manage classes, schedules, and assigned work. Requirements
• At least 2 years of science teaching or tutoring experience.
• Strong understanding of school-level science and its core concepts.
• Ability to teach relevant topics across physics, chemistry, biology, or general science according to the assigned curriculum.
• Experience teaching children or school-age students is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain scientific concepts in your own words.
• Comfortable conducting live online 1:1 classes.
• Good command of spoken English.
• Comfortable teaching students from international markets.
• Must be available during the US shift (12:00 AM–6:30 AM IST).
• Able to commit up to 4 hours/day and approximately 4 sessions/day.
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable setup for online teaching.
• Passion for science education and the ability to engage young learners. Compensation Monthly Earning Potential:



₹28,800–₹40,000 The earning potential is based on the expected teaching workload of approximately 4 sessions per day, 7 days per week, along with additional opportunities through demo classes and successful student conversions. Your monthly earnings can vary depending on student availability, classes assigned, sessions conducted, and performance-based incentives.
• Regular Classes: ₹300/session for 55–60 minute regular sessions.
• Demo Classes: ₹150 per demo class for a 45–50 minute demo
• Demo Conversion Incentive: ₹200 additional incentive when a demo student converts into a full student.
• Student No-Show: ₹50 will be paid if a student does not attend the scheduled class, provided the instructor waits for at least 15 minutes. Selection Process Round 1 — Screening Initial screening to check experience, subject expertise, USA-shift availability, compensation expectations, and overall suitability. Round 2 — Founder's Interview The founder will assess the candidate's coding knowledge and their ability to understand and explain concepts in their own words. Round 3 — Demo Class The selected candidate will conduct a live demo class with a student.
