A client requirement passes through many hands before it becomes a working product — sales conversations, scoping, proposals, development, QA, delivery — and every handoff is a place where clarity can get lost. This role exists to prevent that: owning the requirement from the very first discovery call through to final delivery sign-off, so nothing gets misunderstood, under-scoped, or built wrong because of a documentation gap. You’ll work across the full lifecycle — supporting Sales and Account Managers with scoping and proposals before a deal is signed, then converting the signed SOW into developer-ready documentation and staying involved through QA and UAT after it is. You’re the one constant thread connecting what the client asked for to what actually gets delivered. This role is for someone who enjoys:
• Owning a requirement end-to-end rather than handing it off and moving on
• Turning ambiguous conversations into precise, structured documentation
• Balancing commercial pressure against delivery feasibility
• Working across Sales, Delivery, Technical Teams, and QA without losing context If you’re someone who takes real satisfaction in a requirement that’s understood correctly from the first conversation all the way to final delivery, this role puts that skill to constant use. What you’ll really be doing 1. Pre-Sales Discovery & Scoping
• Participate in pre-sales discovery and scoping calls with Account Managers and sales teams
• Understand client requirements, business goals, and technical expectations
• Ask clarifying questions to ensure complete scope understanding before estimation begins
• Own the end-to-end quote preparation process from inquiry to final proposal, coordinating with technical leads, PMs, and quoting teams for effort estimation and feasibility validation 2. Proposal & SOW Writing
• Prepare clear, structured, client-friendly Scope of Work (SOW) documents, proposals, requirement summaries, and deliverable breakdowns
• Clearly define in-scope vs. out-of-scope items, assumptions, timelines, and dependencies
• Ensure proposals are commercially aligned while remaining technically realistic
• Support clarification discussions during negotiation or revision stages 3. Project Intake & Transition
• Review signed SOWs, proposals, discovery notes, and transcripts once a deal closes
• Participate in internal kick-off sessions to understand client priorities and technical constraints
• Identify gaps, ambiguities, or missing inputs before development begins
• Ensure complete transition from Sales to Delivery with zero requirement blind spots 4. Post-Sales Requirement Documentation
• Translate business requirements into Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs) and detailed User Stories
• Break down modules and features into data fields, validations, workflows, interactions, and conditional logic
• Define agile content behavior, click actions, role-based access views, and system logic
• Ensure documentation is structured, version-controlled, and delivery-ready 5. Task Structuring & Execution Alignment
• Collaborate with Project Managers to convert requirements into structured development tasks (ClickUp, Jira, etc.)
• Identify task dependencies and logical execution sequences
• Support QA teams with initial test case outlines derived from business rules and acceptance criteria 6. Change Management & Client Clarifications
• Track and document clarification requests during execution
• Support PMs and Account Managers in evaluating scope deviations and change requests
• Maintain version-controlled documentation with client confirmations and change logs 7. Quality & UAT Support
• Assist PMs in validating completed work against functional documentation before client delivery
• Participate in internal UAT cycles to ensure alignment between build and documented requirements
• Reduce last-minute surprises during client reviews 8. Pipeline Tracking & Reporting
• Maintain tracking of all active quotes and proposal stages, following up on pending approvals or inactive opportunities
• Prepare periodic reports on quote volume, conversion rates, win/loss analysis, and deal size trends
• Support leadership with reporting insights for forecasting and planning 9. Documentation Governance & Risk Identification
• Maintain centralized repositories of requirement documents, SOWs, and change logs with consistent formatting and version control
• Identify risks, inconsistencies, and vague requirements early, escalating potential delivery blockers before they materialize
• Flag redundant or unclear SOW elements that may lead to misinterpretation 10. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to ensure designs align with documented functionality
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Delivery Teams, and Technical Leads to validate scope and complexity at every stage
• Refine internal templates for SOWs, FRDs, and change tracking, and recommend process improvements to reduce friction across the full pre-sales-to-delivery lifecycle
• Document recurring modules, platform constraints,
and reusable logic patterns to build an internal knowledge base Who will thrive in this role
• You own a requirement from the first client conversation to final delivery, not just one slice of the lifecycle
• You can write a SOW precise enough to prevent scope arguments later, and an FRD precise enough that a developer never has to guess
• You balance commercial urgency with delivery realism rather than just saying yes
• You move comfortably between Sales, Technical Teams, Delivery, and QA without losing context
• You catch ambiguity and risk early, in both the proposal stage and the build stage
• You think in reusable systems and documentation standards, not one-off fixes Qualifications & Skills Experience
