Job description
Africa: Open to Relocation to Cameroon You are in charge of all maintenance and repair of the company's trucks, trailers and equipment. Goal: keep the fleet secure, reliable, roadworthy, and available for operations while minimizing downtime and costs. Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintenance Management: Plan and supervise preventive & corrective maintenance, ensure schedules are followed, handle breakdowns fast to reduce downtime.
• Team Supervision: Supervise mechanics, electricians, welders, assign daily tasks, monitor repair quality, enforce safety in the workshop.
• Technical Control: Diagnose problems, validate team diagnoses, approve repairs, ensure repairs are done properly, identify recurring issues.
• Spare Parts & Tools: Identify needed parts, tires, lubricants, tools; follow up stock; coordinate with purchasing; control consumption to avoid waste.
• Records & Reporting: Keep all repair records, vehicle history files, spare parts usage,



inspection reports, workshop costs; prepare reports on downtime, costs, performance.
• Compliance & Coordination: Ensure trucks meet road safety & inspection standards, comply with company standards & regulations, coordinate with Operations to prioritize maintenance, report risks.

Requirements:
- Technical diploma in auto mechanics (Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering is a big plus)
- 8 years experience in workshop maintenance, including 2 years as supervisor/manager
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmission, braking, suspension, hydraulic, electrical, diagnostics
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs
- ERP / fleet-maintenance system proficiency
- Strong French (speaking, reading, writing)
- Planning, problem-solving, ability to work under pressure & emergencies
