– Sr. Automation Developer (RPA & Process Automation)

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Professional to manage, develop, maintain, monitor, and enhance business process automation solutions across multiple business functions.

The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end automation delivery, requirement gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, bot monitoring, production support, stakeholder management, reconciliation process automation, API integration, and continuous process improvement using RPA and related technologies.

The candidate should have solid hands-on knowledge of Automation Anywhere A360, APA, Python, SQL, API integration, bot monitoring, Excel/VBA, and intelligent automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process Automation & Development

- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain automation solutions using Automation Anywhere A360/RPA technologies.
- Develop and maintain automations for banking reconciliation, reporting, insurance, disbursal, compliance, and operational processes.
- Handle automation for web applications, desktop applications, SAP, Excel-based processes, email workflows, and database-driven processes.
- Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks.
- Develop automation solutions using Python scripting wherever required for complex data processing, business logic, file handling, API integration, and automation support.
- Utilize APA/intelligent automation capabilities to support process automation, orchestration, analytics, and automation lifecycle management.

2. Requirement Gathering & Business Analysis

- Conduct meetings with business stakeholders to understand end-to-end business processes.
- Gather requirements and identify automation feasibility, dependencies, exceptions, and risks.
- Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for RPA, API, Python, and intelligent automation.
- Prepare process flow diagrams, solution approach documents, technical documentation, and functional understanding.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical automation solutions.

3. Production Support, Bot Monitoring & Maintenance

- Monitor automation bots and production processes using Automation Anywhere Control Room and bot monitoring capabilities.
- Monitor bot execution status, schedules, queues, failures, exceptions, and operational performance.
- Perform root-cause analysis for bot failures and production issues.
- Troubleshoot application, database, API, credential, connectivity, and automation-related issues.
- Perform bug fixing, CR (Change Request) implementation, enhancements, and process optimization.
- Ensure timely resolution of automation failures and business-critical incidents.
- Maintain production support documentation, incident details, and resolution procedures.
- Identify recurring bot failures and implement preventive measures to improve bot stability and reliability.

4. Reconciliation & Data Processing

- Handle bank reconciliation and financial process automations.
- Develop logic for data comparison, matching, validation, exception handling,



and adjustment processes.
- Process and validate bulk data using Excel, SQL, Python, and database queries.
- Write optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Work with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or similar databases.
- Perform data validation and investigate data discrepancies between multiple systems.

5. API Integration & System Integration

- Design and implement automation solutions using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Integrate RPA bots with internal and external applications using APIs.
- Understand and work with HTTP methods such as GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE.
- Handle API authentication mechanisms such as API Keys, Basic Authentication, OAuth/OAuth 2.0, and tokens.
- Work with JSON/XML request and response structures.
- Perform API testing, troubleshooting, response validation, error handling, and exception management.
- Use APIs wherever appropriate to improve automation stability and reduce dependency on UI-based automation.
- Integrate APIs with A360, Python, databases, and business applications.

6. Python Automation & Scripting

- Develop Python scripts for data processing, file manipulation, automation utilities, and integration requirements.
- Use Python for handling large datasets and complex business logic where RPA capabilities alone may not be efficient.
- Develop scripts for Excel, CSV, JSON, XML, database connectivity, API integration, and file processing.
- Integrate Python scripts with RPA workflows where required.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing Python automation scripts.

7. SQL & Database Management

- Write and optimize SQL queries for automation and business requirements.
- Perform data extraction, joins, filtering, aggregation, validation, and reconciliation using SQL.
- Work with SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or equivalent relational databases.
- Develop database-driven automation solutions.
- Perform data validation and troubleshoot database-related automation issues.
- Understand stored procedures, views, indexes, transactions, and basic database performance considerations.

8. Reporting & Dashboarding

- Automate business reports and MOM reporting processes.
- Work with reporting tools and query-based data publishing for business users.
- Use SQL/Python/RPA to automate data preparation and reporting processes.
- Ensure data accuracy, validation, and scheduled refresh mechanisms.
- Develop automated reporting solutions to provide operational visibility.

9. Stakeholder Management

- Coordinate with internal teams, business users, IT teams, and external stakeholders.
- Provide status updates, walkthroughs, demos, and support for automation adoption.
- Handle UAT support, production deployment, knowledge transfer,



and production handover.
- Communicate technical issues and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in Automation Anywhere A360 / RPA Frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Automation Anywhere Control Room, bot deployment, scheduling, monitoring, logs, queues, credentials, and production support.
- Working knowledge of APA / Intelligent Automation / Automation Process Analytics capabilities and their application in automation lifecycle and process improvement.
- Strong hands-on experience in Python scripting and automation.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, including MySQL, Oracle, and/or SQL Server queries and data processing.
- Strong understanding of REST/SOAP API integration.
- Hands-on experience with API methods, authentication, JSON/XML, API testing, error handling, and system integration.
- Experience in bot monitoring, production support, incident management, root-cause analysis, and bot performance optimization.
- Experience in Jiffy.ai or similar intelligent automation platforms.
- Strong experience in Excel automation, VBA/Macros, and bulk data processing.
- Knowledge of web, desktop, SAP, database, and email automation.
- Good understanding of business process analysis and reconciliation logic.
- Experience in production support, enhancement, CR implementation, and UAT support.
- Strong understanding of exception handling, logging, retry mechanisms, and automation stability.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in financial/banking reconciliation processes.
- Experience with API-first automation and system-to-system integration.
- Knowledge of intelligent automation, AI/ML, OCR, Document Automation, or GenAI-based automation.
- Exposure to reporting/dashboarding tools.
- Knowledge of CI/CD or source-code/version-control practices such as Git.
- Ability to create process documentation, solution design documents, technical documents, and flow diagrams.
- Experience working in Agile/project-based delivery environments.
