Role Description The Operations and Maintenance Solar Technician is a full time, on-site role based in Bhilai. This role involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on solar power plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient power generation. The technician will monitor system performance, identify and troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate with the operations team to minimize downtime. Daily responsibilities include handling basic electrical and mechanical tasks, maintaining documentation of maintenance activities, and adhering to safety standards and environmental regulations.



The role also involves collaborating with engineers and supervisors to support continuous improvement in plant reliability and output. Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of solar systems and solar power technologies, with practical experience in their operation and maintenance.
• Understanding of the solar industry and power generation processes, including grid integration and basic electrical concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and system issues efficiently, using diagnostic tools and standard maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with safety practices for working in power generation environments, including PPE use and compliance with regulations.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in electrical, mechanical, or renewable energy engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
• Capability to read technical drawings and manuals, maintain clear records, and follow standard operating procedures.
• Physically able to work in outdoor plant conditions, including at heights and in varying weather, following safety guidelines.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams; prior solar O&M; experience is an advantage.
