Role Description The Head Cashier is a full time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for overseeing daily cash operations at the unit. This role includes supervising cashier staff, ensuring accurate billing, handling cash and electronic payments, and reconciling cash registers at the end of shifts. The Head Cashier monitors compliance with Sodexo’s financial procedures, supports audits, and addresses discrepancies promptly. Responsibilities also include training and mentoring cashiers, resolving customer payment issues, and collaborating with operations and finance teams to improve transaction efficiency and customer service. The role requires maintaining a clean,



organized checkout area and upholding Sodexo’s safety, security, and service standards at all times. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong cash handling skills, experience with POS systems, and accuracy in billing and reconciliation.
• Candidates should possess team supervision skills, including staff scheduling, training, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution.
• Candidates should possess customer service skills, with the ability to handle queries, resolve payment issues, and communicate clearly and respectfully.
• Candidates should possess basic numerical and financial skills, including record-keeping, reporting, and understanding of cash control procedures.
• Candidates should possess organizational and time management skills to manage peak hours, prioritize tasks, and meet daily closing timelines.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., MS Excel, email) and familiarity with digital payment methods.
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or food service cash operations at a supervisory level is highly beneficial.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional certification in accounting, commerce, or retail management is an advantage.
