The product is a gamified, quiz-first app that helps learners explore African proverbs, traditions, rites of passage, festivals, folklore, and customs. Designed for Africans and the global diaspora, Superfan.ng promotes deep cultural knowledge through engaging, interactive content. The team is building scalable technology that makes learning accessible, fun, and culturally authentic for users across the world. Role Description The Artificial Intelligence Engineer will design, build, and deploy AI models that power Superfan.ng’s language and culture learning experiences. Day-to-day work includes developing and training machine learning and neural network models, implementing NLP pipelines for African languages, and optimizing pattern recognition systems for quiz and content personalization. The engineer will collaborate with product, content, and engineering teams to integrate AI features into the app, improve recommendation systems, and enhance user engagement through data-driven insights. This is a full-time, remote role, requiring proactive communication,



ownership of technical deliverables, and a strong focus on reliable, maintainable software solutions. Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and production-grade coding practices.
• Experience with Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks for building and optimizing machine learning models.
• Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), preferably with multilingual or low-resource languages.
• Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks and languages (e.g., Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, spaCy, Hugging Face), and working with up-to-date data pipelines.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and meet project deadlines.
• Experience in edtech, recommender systems, or language technology, and interest in African languages and cultures is highly beneficial.
