About the Role:

We’re looking for a journalist who is curious about technology and can explain it clearly. You’ll cover the tech shaping how travel is bought, sold and experienced: AI, payments, platforms and the startups behind them. You won’t just report what happened. You’ll explain how it works, why it matters, and what it means for the people making decisions.

You don’t need a travel background. We’ll help you learn the industry. What we need is curiosity, sharp thinking and clear writing.

What you’ll do:

- Find, research and write stories on technology and its impact on travel.
- Explain complex technology in plain language for busy, senior readers.
- Turn announcements and raw information into insight that helps leaders make decisions.
- Put today’s news in context: what it resembles from the past, and where it’s heading.




- Check claims and question press releases rather than repeat them.
- Help shape our newsletters, working on story selection, structure and tone.

What we’re looking for:

- Experience in journalism, research, or writing. A background in tech or business is a plus; an interest in travel is essential.
- Real curiosity about how technology works behind the screen, and the willingness to learn what you don’t know yet.
- Clear, concise writing that even non-engineers can follow.
- Strong research habits: primary sources, verified facts, honest attribution.
- Independent judgment. You can tell news from marketing, and you’re willing to defend your view.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in journalism (travel, hospitality, or business coverage preferred)
- Excellent writing, interviewing, and reporting skills
- Strong understanding of digital publishing platforms and basic SEO
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently or collaboratively
