Role Overview

We are looking for experienced hardware and embedded systems engineers to develop and validate terminal-based tasks used to evaluate AI agents on engineering workflows. You’ll contribute your expertise in firmware, hardware design, verification, and simulation to ensure tasks are technically accurate, reproducible, and representative of real engineering challenges.

Key: Prior hands-on experience working on Terminal-Bench 3.0 projects is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

- Design multi-step tasks based on realistic hardware and embedded engineering workflows.
- Configure reproducible environments with relevant engineering tools and dependencies.
- Prepare simulation parameters, test vectors, design files, or hardware configurations.
- Implement reference solutions and automated verification tests.
- Review design constraints, simulation results, and expected technical behavior.
- Debug toolchain issues, file-format problems, and simulation failures.
- Validate task correctness, reproducibility, and output consistency.




- Document engineering assumptions and validation methods.

Key Requirements

- Bachelor's degree from a university ranked among the top 100 institutions in the country.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant hardware or engineering experience.
- Prior hands-on experience with Terminal-Bench 3.0 projects.
- Relevant background in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering.
- Practical expertise in at least one eligible hardware specialization.
- Experience with technical debugging, verification, simulation, or engineering tools.
- Comfortable discussing engineering workflows in an interview.
- Availability to work remotely on a flexible schedule.

Preferred Technical Skills

- Embedded systems and firmware development.
- FPGA, ASIC, RTL design, and verification.
- RF engineering and digital signal processing.
- Hardware simulation and automated testing.
- Reproducible engineering environments and benchmark development.
