ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Full Stack Developer with strong Node.js and Next.js experience to join our engineering team. You'll work across the stack — building APIs, designing data models, and shipping user-facing features — on production systems used by real customers. The successful candidate must be accountable, responsible, result-driven, and able to take complete ownership of projects from requirements through production delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, build, and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Build responsive, accessible frontend interfaces using Next.js and TypeScript.
- Design and implement REST APIs and integrate with third-party services.
- Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases — schema design, queries, performance tuning.
- Write unit and integration tests; participate in code review.
- Debug and resolve production issues across the stack.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers in an agile workplace.
- Contribute to technical decisions on architecture, tooling, and best practices.
- Take end-to-end ownership of assigned projects: planning, estimation, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and post-launch support.
- Deliver measurable outcomes on agreed timelines; proactively communicate risks, unblock issues, and take responsibility for quality and results
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 4+years of professional experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Strong Next.js experience required — App Router or Pages Router, SSR/SSG, API routes, React component architecture, hooks, state management (Redux, Zustand, or similar).
- Solid understanding of REST API design and asynchronous programming (promises, async/await, event-driven patterns).
- Experience with at least one major database (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar).
- Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, Azure AI Search, or similar) for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) use cases.
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks — LangChain and LangGraph.
- Experience with Langfuse or a similar LLM observability/tracing tool.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows, code review, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Comfortable working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) — deploying and debugging services in a cloud environment.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, written communication, accountability, and results-oriented execution.
EDUCATION & OWNERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
- Must have completed a degree or formal educational program at an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indian Institute of Management (IIM), a Symbiosis institution, or Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS Pilani).
- Must demonstrate personal responsibility, a results-driven mindset, and proactive ownership of deliverables.
- Must be capable of independently driving projects end-to-end, including stakeholder coordination, delivery, and resolution of production issues.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Experience with message queues / event-driven architectures (Service Bus, SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Familiarity with OAuth 2.0 / OIDC and enterprise identity providers (Microsoft Entra ID, Okta).
- Testing framework experience (Jest, Playwright, Cypress).
GOOD TO HAVE: AI / AGENTIC PLATFORM EXPERIENCE
We're increasingly building systems that integrate AI agents into real business workflows, so the following is a genuine plus, though not required:
- Hands-on experience calling LLM APIs in production (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) — token-based billing, streaming responses, prompt/response handling.
- Experience building systems with AI guardrails — content safety checks, cost controls, human-in-the-loop approval steps.
- Experience integrating with enterprise systems of record (SAP, ServiceNow, or similar) as part of a connector/integration layer.
- Familiarity with durable/long-running workflow patterns (Azure Durable Functions, Temporal, or similar).
