Position - Compliance & Risk Auditor

Role purpose

Provide independent assurance that the company meets applicable compliance requirements and manages key risks effectively. Assess whether controls are suitably designed and operating as intended, report findings, and follow up on corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

- Develop risk-based audit plans covering regulatory compliance, internal policies, processes, and key business risks.
- Conduct audits and reviews using appropriate sampling, interviews, document review, and control testing.
- Evaluate compliance with applicable laws, regulations, contracts, standards, and company policies.
- Assess the design and effectiveness of controls that address operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks.
- Document audit scope, procedures, evidence, findings, risk ratings, and conclusions clearly.
- Discuss findings with process owners and agree practical corrective actions and target dates.
- Issue reports to management and, where applicable, the audit committee or board.
- Track remediation and verify that corrective actions have been completed and address the underlying issue.




- Escalate significant breaches, suspected misconduct, control failures, or overdue high-risk actions through the appropriate channels.
- Maintain audit records and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Keep current with relevant regulatory changes, audit practices, and developments in the company’s risk profile.

Qualifications and experience

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, law, risk management, or a related discipline.
- Experience in compliance, risk, internal audit, controls testing, or a related role; typically, 3–5 years, depending on the complexity of the business.
- Relevant audit or compliance qualification preferred or required based on the applicable skilled and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of risk-based auditing, internal controls, evidence documentation, and audit reporting.
- Strong analytical, writing, interviewing, and communication skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and challenge management respectfully.
