About the Role
Swayalgo Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Frappe / ERPNext Developer with 1–3 years of hands-on experience in ERPNext customization, Frappe application development and business process automation.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of the Frappe Framework, ERPNext architecture, Python, JavaScript and databases. The role involves developing custom applications, implementing business requirements, extending existing ERPNext functionality and integrating ERPNext with external systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize and maintain ERPNext applications based on business requirements.
- Create and customize DocTypes, forms, fields, workflows and role-based permissions.
- Develop custom Frappe applications, including server-side logic using Python and client-side scripting using JavaScript.
- Build custom reports, Query Reports, Script Reports, dashboards, and print formats.
- Customize ERPNext modules such as CRM, Selling, Buying, Stock, Accounts, Manufacturing and HR, as required.
- Work with Frappe hooks, document events, notifications, scheduled tasks and background jobs.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs for communication with external applications and services.
- Write SQL queries and perform database operations using MariaDB/MySQL.
- Debug issues, troubleshoot existing functionality and optimize application performance.
- Assist with ERPNext installation, deployment, upgrades and production support.
- Use Git for version control and follow coding standards and documentation practices.
- Collaborate with the team to understand requirements and deliver reliable, maintainable solutions.
Required Skills
- Frappe Framework & ERPNext: Hands-on experience with customization, DocTypes, custom applications, workflows,
permissions and framework fundamentals.
- Python: Good understanding of Python programming and server-side development.
- JavaScript: Experience with client-side scripting, form events and dynamic functionality.
- Database: Working knowledge of MariaDB/MySQL and SQL queries, including joins and data manipulation.
- REST APIs: Understanding of API development, integration and JSON data handling.
- Frappe Bench: Familiarity with Bench CLI, application management, migrations and basic deployment workflows.
- Frappe Cloud: Familiarity with Frappe Cloud for application hosting, site management, deployment, backups, monitoring and basic troubleshooting.
- Web Technologies: Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Version Control: Familiarity with Git and standard development workflows.
Good to Have
- Basic knowledge of React.js, Next.js, PWA or React Native.
- Familiarity with Linux, Docker and application deployment.
- Experience integrating ERPNext with third-party applications or services.
Experience & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in Frappe Framework and/or ERPNext development.
- Practical experience developing customizations or applications on ERPNext.
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
- A degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field is preferred.
