Role Description: The Design Assistant & Draughtsman is a full-time, on-site role based in Satara. This role involves preparing detailed technical drawings and 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) tools for polyurethane wheels, castors, rollers, and customized parts. The position supports senior designers and engineers in translating design concepts and specifications into accurate production-ready drawings and layouts.

Daily responsibilities include revising drawings based on feedback,



maintaining organised design documentation, coordinating with production and quality teams, and ensuring adherence to company and industry standards. The role also involves interacting with internal stakeholders and, when needed, supporting customer-facing teams with design-related information and visuals.

Qualifications

- Strong communication and customer service skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and support client requirements.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) tools for creating detailed technical drawings and models.
- Knowledge of interior design or product design principles, with the ability to translate functional needs into practical design solutions.
- Basic graphic design skills to prepare clear visual presentations, diagrams, and design documentation.
- Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or a related field.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing or material handling equipment design is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work on-site in Satara and collaborate closely with shop-floor and quality teams.
